Will an Automatic Gearbox Oil Leak Fail an MOT?
Yes, an automatic gearbox fluid leak can fail an MOT if the leakage is excessive enough to meet the DVSA defect criteria. The MOT does not fail a vehicle simply because there is slight gearbox dampness or because the internal transmission fluid level is low.
